NDT Vault only requests the permissions it needs to function. Here's a transparent breakdown of every permission and how your data is handled.
NDT Vault uses your device camera to capture defect photos during inspections. Photos are taken using the built-in multi-lens system (wide, ultra-wide, telephoto) and are stored locally on your device.
Why we need this
To photograph and document defects with automatic watermarking. Without camera access, the core documentation feature cannot function.
NDT Vault accesses your photo library to import site diagrams, schematics, and existing photos into your projects. You choose which images to import — the app does not scan or access photos without your explicit action.
Why we need this
To import diagram images and existing photos into your inspection projects. Only images you explicitly select are accessed.
Internet access is used for cloud collaboration features: syncing projects with team members, uploading shared projects, and signing in with Apple. All network communication uses HTTPS encryption.
Why we need this
For cloud share, real-time collaboration, and authentication. The app works fully offline without network access — cloud features simply won't be available.
Used for authentication. We receive your name and email (or private relay) through Apple's secure sign-in service. You can choose to hide your email address. No password is stored by NDT Vault.
Why we need this
To identify you for cloud collaboration features and secure your data. You can use the app without signing in — all local features work without an account.
NDT Vault does NOT access: your location, contacts, microphone, health data, browsing history, or any other personal information beyond what's listed above.
